Great things to come out of Japan lately

The Nikkei is really struggling so thought it might be worth highlighting some of the cooler things to come out of the land of the rising sun recently:
a) A new Prime Minister who reads manga in between state meetings (link, via BoingBoing).
b) An ingenious (if a bit fake-looking) use of TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) and bleepy electro (it gets good around 40 secs in):
c) Phone chargers in Taxis (from Monocle). Obvious, isn’t it?
d) An all-Japanese tribute to We Are The World – Lionel Ritchie, Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Tina Tuner, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Diana Ross, Ray Charles & Stevie Wonder (via JapanSugoi):
e) A new season of Uniqlock. Timeless.
